Principal's Message
Welcome to the award-winning Elliott Elementary School!
My name is Ms. Lora Ballard and I love being the Principal at Elliott Elementary.
Elliott Elementary has a reputation as a high-achieving and nurturing environment in which all children learn and grow in all areas as they prepare for an exciting future in both college and career. It is amazing to be part of a team that is a California Distinguished School, a Title I Achieving Award school, and has achieved the designation of a California Gold Ribbon School. We will continue working together as a staff to provide a high-quality standards-based curriculum through caring and best practices of instruction. Additionally, our community of students, families, staff, teachers and PTA will always work to form a cohesive bond that supports the success of every child.
At Elliott, the diversity of the community is also a strength, and that experience is heightened through our Magnet School theme of Global Navigators. I will continue to work on our vision of ensuring that Elliott School Navigators are prepared for a global society by appreciating diversity, being technologically literate, developing skills for academic success, and utilizing critical thinking skills to communicate effectively as life-long leaders and productive citizens of the world.

Additionally, Elliott is a PBIS school, Positive Behavior Interventions, and Supports, meaning I will continue to work with our staff to address actions and behaviors on campus through positive means and messages. The staff has already been successful at this because, we are silver award winners for our PBIS program and we continuously live by our three core values: We are Respectful, Kind, and Responsible.
I feel very fortunate to be part of the Elliott Elementary School community, as we stand out as a high-achieving, supportive and nurturing environment that supports the growth of the whole child, and creates an environment where all children can learn.
